RESPIRATORY INFECTION PANEL
Respiratory infection tests identify genetic material of clinically relevant pathogens that lead to respiratory infections. With this approach, it is possible to identify pathogens at early stages of diseases.
Fast, sensitive and highly specific diagnosis of respiratory infections is particularly important to select the right treatment. Because it distinguishes between bacterial and viral infections, this approach helps avoid unnecessary use of antibiotics and lower the overall cost of treatment.
The following tests are available as part of the respiratory infection panel:
|Respiratory Infection Panel: BACTERIA||Detection and identification of DNA of 7 bacteria: Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis|
|Respiratory Infection Panel: VIRUSES||Detection and identification of DNA/RNA of 7 viruses: Influenza A (Flu A), Influenza B (Flu B), Metapneumovirus (MPV), Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Parainfluenza virus (PIV), Adenovirus (AdV), Rhinovirus A/B/C (HRV).|
|Respiratory Infection Full Panel : BAKCTERIA AND VIRUSES||Detection and identification of DNA/RNA of 16 viruses and 3 FluA subtypes : Influenza A (Flu A), Influenza B (Flu B), Respiratory Syncytial Virus A (RSV A), Respiratory Syncytial Virus B (RSV B), subtypes Influenza A: Flu A-H1, Flu A-H1pdm09, Flu A-H3, Adenovirus (AdV), Enterovirus (HEV), Parainfluenza virus 1 (PIV 1), Parainfluenza virus 2 (PIV 2), Parainfluenza virus 3 (PIV 3), Parainfluenza virus 4 (PIV 4), Metapneumovirus (MPV), Rinovirus (HRV) A,B,C species, virus Boca (HBoV) types: 1,2,3,4, coronavirus subgroups: 229E, NL63, OC43.|
