The R&D Laboratory has started preparatory work for the implementation of a new research project consisting in sequencing the genomes of SARS CoV-2 coronavirus obtained from samples from positive patients using the Nanopore technology, i.e. NGS sequencing in real time. Thanks to the implementation of the project, it will be possible to track individual clusters of infected patients by grouping them into clusters determined on the masis of the similarity of the nucleotide sequence of SARS-CoV-2 genomes, monitoring the sources of the infection and developing the characteristics of potential transmission pathways.
