The new service offered by genXone is a response to the new challenges that emerged with the pandemic at the beginning of 2020. Knowing the genetic information of the new coronavirus and the ability of comparing it with others allows you to monitor the variability of the virus.
We use nanopore technology to sequence the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus genome. The analysis of the obtained SARS-CoV-2 genome sequence allows for the detection of the full spectrum of nucleotide changes in relation to the reference sequence. The result of the analysis lists all changed variants. The service also includes bioinformatics analysis consisting in assembling the viral genome.
We analyze samples in which the presence of the coronavirus has been identified in molecular test, nd their CT (cycle threshold) is no more than 25.
The genXone laboratory was included in the national SARS-CoV-2 variability monitoring project coordinated by the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University. As part of the coronavirus genome sequencing project carried out with our own funds, we submitted almost 500 records to the GISAID database.
We have implemented nanopore technology to three sanitary and epidemiological stations in Łódź, Rzeszów and Olsztyn.
If you are interested in the service, please contact us at the email address: bok@genxone.eu. The exact offer will be prepared based on the agreed details of the analysis.
