The last month was an extremely intense time for our company. The main focus was on the coronavirus genome sequencing project. The market took great interest in our activities, which resulted in commercial cooperation and most importantly, the inclusion of the company in the nationwide project of monitoring the coronavirus variability. The project is coordinated by the Małopolska Center of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University. Our technological facilities and the experience of the research and development team allows us to declare a high throughput of the laboratory and full readiness to perform sequencing.

Furthermore, the R&D team has already submitted nearly 400 coronavirus genomes records to the international GISAID database, including 30 records confirming the “British” variant of coronavirus (B.1.1.7) and 1 “South African” (B.1.351). Many newspapers published the details.

Also, the specialists from the Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics observe an increased interest in testing services towards SARS-CoV-2.
