At the end of 2020, genXone performed a sequencing of SARS-CoV-2 samples. These results were made available in the international GISAID database, which was created to share data on influenza viruses, but in the face of the ongoing pandemic, the database was also adapted to the publication of information on identified viruses causing COVID-19 disease. genXone is the only commercial entity that has so far supported the coronavirus sequencing initiative, and after the last replenishment of the database, it has also become a leader in terms of the number of results of this analysis published in Poland.
